Dear Friends,

Polish American Indians Friends Movement is organizing a Toy Collection Campaign for Lakota children. Even if we are only in the planning stages so far, we would like to help as much as we can. We know that many American Indians kids are homeless, abuse victims, and live in extremely poor conditions. That is why we would like to send them some Christmas gifts and make their days happy and bright. Since we are living so far from the USA it is quite difficult to show our friendship and support.
Our campaign includes toys and money collection. Money is needed to send the toys, as well as to fund indigenous youth projects.
The campaign starts on November 1st, 2000 and will continue until Christmas 2000. In addition to our Polish friends, the German Rhein Main Leonard Peltier Support Group will support us. We are also waiting for campaign contribution from the Czech Republic and Norway, as well as sponsoring from some toy manufacture companies and stores.

Toys and money will be sent to the Dakota Youth Project organization in Florida, where James Robideau - DYP director- will help to distribute the collected items on Lakota reservations.
